PowerGrid PGCIL Diploma Trainee Recruitment 2018 and two more posts’ advertisement has been recently published by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. Applications are invited from Indian National candidates to fill the vacancies. Please check below the desired eligibility criteria and apply accordingly.

1. Diploma Trainee (Electrical)

No. of vacancies- 25 posts

Qualification-

  • Diploma (Electrical Engineering) from a recognized institute with 70% marks in aggregate for Gen/ OBC(NCL) & Pass marks for SC/ ST/ PWD
  • B.E/ B.Tech (Electrical) from a recognized institute with 65% marks or more may also apply

Upper age limit- 27 years (as on 02/10/2018)

Age relaxation- As per extant norms

Service agreement bond (at least 3 years)-

  • Rs. 50,000/- for Gen/ OBC (NCL)
  • Rs. 25,000/- for SC/ ST/ PWD

Stipend- Rs. 16,500/- per month (during one year training period)

Pay Scale- Rs. 16,000/- to Rs. 35,500/- (to be regularized as Jr. Engineer after successful completion of training)

2. Diploma Trainee (Civil)

No. of vacancies- 05 posts

Qualification-

Qualification- PG Diploma (Full time) in Personnel Management or MHRM or MSW (with Personnel Management as main subject) or MBA (with specialization in HR) or equivalent from recognized institute with minimum 55% marks in aggregate

Upper age limit- 27 years (as on 02/10/2018)

Age relaxation- As per extant norms

Service agreement bond (at least 3 years)-

  • Rs. 50,000/- for Gen/ OBC (NCL)

  • ITI (Electrician)from a recognized institute
  • B.E/ B.Tech/ Diploma (Electrical) from a recognized institute may also apply

Upper age limit- 27 years (as on 02/10/2018)

Age relaxation- As per extant norms

Service agreement bond (at least 3 years)-

  • Rs. 25,000/- for Gen/ OBC (NCL)
  • Rs. 12,000/- for SC/ ST/ PWD

Stipend- Rs. 11,500/- per month (during one year training period)

Pay Scale- Rs. 11,500/- to Rs. 26,000/- (to be regularized as Jr. Technician after successful completion of training)

  • Rs. 300/- for Gen/ OBC (NCL)
  • SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-SM/ Departmental Candidates need not pay the registration fee regardless of the post being reserved for them or not

Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical)

  • Rs. 200/- for Gen/ OBC (NCL)
  • SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-SM/ Departmental Candidates need not pay the registration fee regardless of the post being reserved for them or not

How to Apply

  • Candidates need to apply online by clicking here
  • Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number. It should be kept active during the entire recruitment process
  • Registration number, password, and all other important communication will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID
  • The application process will comprise of 3(three) steps

Step I (Registration or Signup)

  • Click here to go to Step I
  • Read carefully the instructions given and proceed accordingly. Candidates will receive a login ID and password in their registered email ID after completion
  • Move to Step II after completion of Step I

Step II (Filling up Application Form)

  • Login and complete all required details in the application form
  • Candidates need to upload recent color passport size photograph. scanned signature (with black ink) and scanned relevant certificates
  • Passport size photograph- 50kb to 100kb in jpg/ jpeg format only
  • Signature size- 50kb to 100kb in jpg/ jpeg format only
  • Relevant certificates size- 50kb to 1000kb in jpg/ jpeg/ pdf format only

Step III (Online Fee Payment)

  • Candidates need to re-login after 24 hours of completion of Step II
  • Click on the link/ tab- “Make Online Payment
  • Proceed as directed and make the online payment via credit or debit card or Net banking and retain the transaction number for future reference
  • Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the e-receipt
  • After depositing the application fee, candidates may check the status of application form after 2 days

Selection Process

  • Diploma Trainee (Electrical & Civil)- Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Jr. Officer Trainee (HR)- Computer Based Test & Computer Skills Test
  • Jr. Technician Trainee (Electrical)- Computer Based Test & Trade Test

Syllabus

Computer Based Test (CBT)- Objective type consisting two parts (Hindi & English)

  • Duration- Two hours
  • Part I- Professional Knowledge (120 questions)
  • Part II- 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, ability to determine data sufficiency, interpretation of graphs/charts/tables, numerical ability etc.
    (a) Supervisory Aptitude Test (Diploma Trainee & Junior Officer Trainee)
    (b) General Aptitude Test (Junior Technician Trainee)
  • After qualifying CBT candidates shall be called for Computer Skills Test Trade Test

Computer Skills Test- Will be qualifying in nature which will include questions from Computer fundamentals & MS-Office package (Word, Excel & Power Point)

Trade Test- Will be qualifying in nature which will include tower climbing
