Selection Process

For Grade- III Posts:

 Candidates for Grade III posts, whose applications are found correct in all respect will be called for Written Test which will be conducted either centrally at suitable place in Guwahati or any other convenient places depending on the number of candidates. The Chairman, SLPRB, Assam reserves the right to change the venue of the written test and no representation etc. will be entertained in this regard. Before entering the examination center, biometrics of each candidate will be matched with the already recorded biometrics at the time of documents verification.

The written test will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR based.

There will be 50 questions and each question will be of 2 (two) marks. Candidates will use black or dark blue ball pen to answer the OMR based answer sheet. Duration of the test will be of 2 (two) hours. The questions will be set in three parts as under:

  • Logical reasoning, aptitude, comprehension – 20 Marks
  • Matters relating to History and – 15 Marks Culture of Assam and India
  • General Knowledge – 15 Marks

For Grade- IV Posts:

The selection procedure to be followed is as per existing Service Rule of the Department concerned.

Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) an autonomous body of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India invites online application for engaging 228 posts of Districts Youth Coordinator, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, and Multi Tasking Staff.

List of Vacancies

1. District Youth Coordinator

No of posts: 101

Pay: level-10 (56100-177500).

Educational Qualification:

Essential: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent

Desirable: Three years experience in Youth activities / Rural Development/ other social sectors including voluntary work in a reputed organization.

Age: 28 years as on 1.1.2018.

2. Accounts Clerk cum Typist

No of posts: 75

Pay: level-4 (25500-81100).

Educational Qualification:

Essential:
1. B.Com of a recognized university or
2. Graduate Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with 2 year experience in Accounts work
3. Typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi.
4. Knowledge of Computer application

Desirable:
1. Experience of two years as National Service Volunteer (NSV)/ Rashtriya Sadbhavana Yojana (RSY) Volunteer or National Youth Corps (NYC) Volunteer
2. PG Degree of Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) in various courses will be an added advantage.

Age: 28 years as on 31-12-2018.

3. Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)

No of posts: 52

Pay: level-1 (18000-56900).

Educational Qualification:

Essential: Matriculation or equivalent

Desirable:
a) Worked as NSV/RSY/NYC for a minimum period of one year.
b) “Training in Basic and Refresher course in Home Guard and Civil defense”

Age: Between 18-25 years of age – As on 31-12-2018.
