The Indian Army has released notification for the Indian Army Religious Teacher Recruitment 2018 (Junior Commissioned Officer) for RRT 87 & 88 courses. Interested civil and serving candidates (only male) are hereby requested to check below the desired eligibility criteria and apply accordingly via respective mentioned mode only.
Application mode-
- Civil candidates (Pandit, Granthi, Padre, Maulvi Sunni)- Online (05 Oct 2018, 10:00 AM to 03 Nov 2018, 05:00 PM)
- Civil candidates (Pandit Gorkha, Maulvi Shia, Bodh Monk)- Offline (application to be received before 18 Nov 2018)
- Serving candidates- Offline (application to be received before 18 Nov 2018)

1. Pandit (Hindu Candidates)

Age limit- 25 to 34 years (as on 01/10/2019)
Educational qualification (any one)-
- Acharya in Sanskrit
- Shastri in Sanskrit with one year diploma in “Karam Kand”

2. Pandit Gorkha- For Gorkha Regiments (Hindu Gorkha Candidates)

6. Padre (Christian Candidates)

Educational qualification- Ordained priesthood by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority and is still on the approved list of the local Bishop

7. Bodh Monk Mahayana- For Ladakh Scouts (Buddhist Mahayana Candidates)
No. of vacancies- 1 (one)
Age limit- 25 to 34 years (as on 01/10/2019)
Educational qualification- Ordained Monk/Buddhist Priest, by the Appropriate Authority (Head Priest of the Monastery) where the person has been initiated into priesthood. The head priest should be in possession of Geshe (PhD) of Khanpa/ Lopon/ Rabjam with proper certificate from Monastery

- Scroll down the page to the middle and click on APPLY/ LOGIN button against JCO/ OR Enrolment
- Click on Registration button in case you are a new register and login
- Previously registered candidates can login directly using their old Username and Password

- After login, fill up every required details and submit
2. For Offline Mode

Selection process
Recruitment to the Indian Army Religious Teachers post will comprise of the following stages,
- Screening
- Fitness test
- Written test- General awareness (50 x 2) & Specific to respective religious denominations (50 x 2)
- Interview
