Public Works Department PWD Assam Recruitment 2018: PWD Roads of Assam government invites online application for Assistant Engineers (A.E) & Junior Engineers (J.E) on ad-hoc basis for a period of four (4) months. And, to become eligible for regular appointment a candidate must qualify himself in the regular recruitment test as and when held.

1. Assistant Engineer (A.E)
Total No. of Posts- 156
Age Requirement- 18-44 years as on 01.01.2018 (Age relaxation as per Govt. rules)
Educational Qualification- i) Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering of an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the
Government
OR
Passed parts A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) and possessing a certificate to that effect from the Institution of Engineers (India).
ii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1 (one) official language of the state of Assam (i.e. Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo), except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council
2. Junior Engineers (J.E.)
Total No. of Posts- 307
Age Requirement- 18-44 years as on 01.01.2018 (Age relaxation as per Govt. rules)
Educational Qualification- i) Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute.
ii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1 (one) official language of the state of Assam (i.e. Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo), except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council

Total Marks- 200 (160 marks for written test and 40 marks for interview)

- Paper 2- Objective/Descriptive type questions of general knowledge (Part III and Part IV)
